From Corporate to Fitness
Her journey started in the corporate world where she worked for some India’s leading names like Times of India and Essar Telecom retail. She spent more than 8 years climbing the corporate ladder till it came to an abrupt halt due to health problems. She developed sudden health issues including severe migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, hormonal issues, hashimoto and abnormal weight gain. It was a turning point when her inherent interest in health started to take centerstage. She quit her 9 to 5 job and started taking an active interest in improving her own wellbeing.
A New Beginning
Lopamuudra’s life took another interesting turn when she was chosen for the Gladrags Mrs. India contest in 2009. The competition introduced her to an intense form of fitness and workout which would later set her on her final vocation. But one of her most precious learnings from that experience came from the people she met. These were women from diverse backgrounds, many of whom had overcome adversity and challenges to reach that stage.
These women had defeated their negative circumstances and hardships to reach for the stars. It was a learning experience for Lopamuudra who realized that life was much more than a job. It was a journey of self-actualization, a chance to live your own dreams
